Youth

  • Join Youth Council or one of its committees – Downtown Safety Committee, Shared Power in Schools, Career Shadowing
  • Join OVX/VKAT to reduce youth nicotine use and speak out against the big tobacco industry
  • Intern with BAPC or join the steering committee
  • Attend BAPC quarterly meetings to provide input and get involved
  • Follow our Instagram @youthcouncil802
  • Recommend resource(s) for other youth on CopeandConnect.org

 

Adults

  • Join the BAPC Steering Committee
  • Volunteer for Wellness Fairs
  • Attend/Promote Keep Connected workshops
  • Provide input to improve family engagement in schools
  • Attend BAPC quarterly meetings to provide input and get involved
  • Support BAPC is creating more smoke/vape-free places.
  • Help inform others of cessation resources and incentives
  • Help reduce nicotine promotion and sales to minors.
  • Encourage retailers and events to have non-alcoholic options.
  • Become a member of committees working on health justice for youth, BIPOC community members, or folks with substance use disorders.
