Brattleboro Area Youth Council up and running strong

Members of the Brattleboro Area Youth Council built the structure for their group from the ground up.

“I remember it being a really fun experience,” said James Chapman, who will be a freshman at Brattleboro Union High School in the fall. “It really opened me up to how you work within a group like that and it showed me the dynamics of something like that.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEADERSHIP RETREAT

This will be a fun and interactive day where we will all get to know each other and ourselves a little better, while we explore what it means to be a leader in your school and help to lead other students to make your school a better place for everyone.

Discovering leadership skills you didn’t know you already had. Only students who are selected by leadership team advisors can apply.

  • Exploring leadership skills you want to grow and strengthen in yourself

  • Creating and running productive and fun team meetings

  • Leading a group of your peers

  • Picking an impactful project and creating a plan to make it happen

  • Making change in your school as a team
